English Second Language and Homestay program

Program dates
There is a choice of three modules:
- 5 weeks (Jul. 6-Aug. 7, 2009)
- 4 weeks (Jul. 6-Jul. 31, 2009)
- 3 weeks (Jul. 6-Jul. 24, 2009)
Participant age
- 17 years and up
- under 17 have to be part of a supervised group
ESL Studies
- am ESL classes/course work: 3.5 hrs./day, Monday to Friday
- pm Workshops (i.e.: Music/Drama, Newsletter/Yearbook; Cultural Tour)
- Field Trip: one afternoon per week (i.e. Edmonton Transit System Orientation, Telus World of Science, Alberta Legislature, Fort Edmonton Park, Museum, Capital EX Parade, Taste of Edmonton, Talents Show, etc.)
- First Monday: orientation, lunch and college tour
- Last Friday: evaluations, pick up T-shirts and yearbook; graduation
- One Saturday Field Trip included: Country Fair and Rodeo with BBQ
- Optional evening activities with class monitors to movies, football games, etc.
- Optional Saturday tours: Calgary Stampede Day-Trip; Royal Tyrrell Dinosaur Museum Day Trip
